It could be because of an adorable snowman named Olaf who dreams of experiencing summer...
Or maybe it's because of the music...
For some it may be relating to the relationship of the sisters...
And maybe just maybe it is the love story...
Whatever the reasons, there is no doubt this movie has hit the big times in only a short amount of time. If you haven't seen it I recommend you do. The story does not follow the typical Disney pattern of boy meets girl, fall in love, go through hardship, and end in marriage. The focus of the story actually centers on the relationship of the sisters and how the ultimate tool for saving them and their kingdom is there love for each other. It is refreshing to have a new fairy tale story that has never been told. I would give this movie a big thumbs up!
I saw Frozen during thanksgiving break shortly after it came out and LOVED it. I saw it again last week and was shocked at how full the auditorium was, you would have thought it just came out. I think I love it so much because Olaf is hilarious and the story is really unique.
ReplyDeleteOne of the wonderful elements of Fairy Tales is that they are supposed to be adaptable to the time and culture they're told in. This is a story that does that! I felt like one of the greatest strengths of this story was found through the relationship of the sisters. Anna sacrificed her life to serve/love/save her sister in her dying moment. Sacrifice is a key element of love and they captured that perfectly in this movie!
ReplyDeleteThe music is beautiful and captivating, Olaf is HILARIOUS, and the love story made so much more sense than the typical engagement-upon-introduction. So many elements combine to make this movie one that deserves the craze and attention it has received!
